¡Feliz Pascua!

Semana Santa, or Holy Week, is Mexico’s version of Spring Break, except for religious purpose. Thankfully, we had Holy Thursday and Good Friday off from work so with the extra days we were able to head to Mexico City. As a Christmas gift, my dad and step-mom paid for our hotel and we had a quick (but awesome!) family vacation together. Here’s a few snapshots from the weekend, as well as photos of how we spent our first Easter in México.

We rented bikes and rode around Chapultapec Park

Discovered neat restaurants in Zona Roma

Saw inspiring artifacts at the Anthropology museum

Marveled at the Piedra del Sol in the Anthropology Museum

Visited the world’s coolest Starbucks

Took a boat ride in the Xochimilco canals

Saw lots of really neat art at the Palacio de Bella Artes

Went to Mass at the Basillica de Guadalupe

Visited the Castillo in Chapultapec Park

For our Easter celebration meal, we had mole, carnitas, tortilla soup, hibiscus juice, and of course flan for dessert. Thanks so much for a great vacation, family!! It was great spending time together.

Love from Puebla,
