Long Overdue Weekly Update

*Whew* August has zoomed by. I can’t believe we’re over halfway through… and that I’ve neglected to update our blog in nearly two weeks!! I have been busy spending time with important people in my life instead of doing wedding planning!

I went on vacation with the Jander family to Lake Diablo.

(you can watch Russell’s video on their YouTube account)

I said goodbye to my dear friend, Laura.

(Our group reminds of the Agatha Christie novel And Then There Were None…)

Hayley (my 16 year old) came to visit this past weekend.

(Seriously LOVE this girl.)

We have been very busy and blessed with friends lately. Life does not look like it’s going to slow down for us. Neal is moving out of the Seward Park neighborhood and back in with his dad in Bothell for a few months until we get married. Neal is really looking forward to spending some quality time with his dad! And in that time, I’m looking forward to getting to know my future-father-in-law in a deeper capacity.

As far as wedding plans go, we’ve made some major headway! We’ve got our caterer booked for our Orange County reception — Stonefire Grill. We’ve booked our getaway hotel at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs where we’ll be staying for 4 nights after our Orange County reception!! (Super excited about this one!) Our deposit is down for our ceremony site. We’ve worked on our registry — or at least the things we need. We picked our ceremony elements and order — still have yet to write our vows, but we’ve got almost everything else in place! Tonight we’re going to have dinner at the Ivar’s Salmon House where our Seattle reception will be. Can’t wait to see the banquet space and to taste the catered food!! Yum!

Last, but not least… I FOUND MY WEDDING DRESS!!! The best part is, is that it came in this really big, pink Sanrio bag!! That’s right, I bought it used from a Taiwanese lady. Figures, right?!

I can’t tell you much about the dress online, but if you are dying to know e-mail me! I might be able to slip you a picture or two if you are curious!! Anyway, off to tasting we go! Yay for free food!

Love from Seattle,
